The Kitten Commandos Guide to Taking a Break Before a New Season
There's always a temptation in World of Warcraft to keep pushing.
One more Mythic+ key. One more alt. One more vault. One more raid night.
Before long, what started as excitement slowly turns into obligation.
At Kitten Commandos, we believe one of the biggest reasons guilds survive multiple expansions isn't because they raid the most—it's because they know when to rest.
Burnout Is Real
Progression raiding demands a lot.
Learning encounters, farming gear, optimising characters and maintaining attendance week after week can eventually become exhausting, even for the most dedicated players.
Taking a few weeks away before a new season lets everyone come back refreshed instead of feeling like they're already behind.
Play What You Want
The end of a season is the perfect opportunity to:
- Finish achievements you've been putting off.
- Level an alt.
- Chase mounts or transmogs.
- Push a few keys with friends.
- Or simply... play something else.
Games should be fun.
Coming Back Stronger
We've seen it happen every expansion. The guilds that force themselves to raid every possible week often lose players before the next tier even launches.
The guilds that encourage people to recharge usually come back with better attendance, higher morale and far more enthusiasm.
We're looking forward to the next challenge—but we'll enjoy the downtime while it lasts.
Sometimes the best preparation is simply remembering why you enjoy playing World of Warcraft in the first place.
